OPINION
 What
is
the
best
solution
to
punish
a
criminal
or
a
rapist
?
Some
people
will
answer
you
that
prison
is
the
best,
 whereas
other
will
think
about
death
penalty.
In
a
general
way,
the
death
penalty
has
become
relatively
 unpopular
because
it
is
against
the
prisoners'
life
right,
and
so
against
human
rights.
France
promotes
the
 abolition
of
the
death
penalty,
in
1981.
According
to
Amnesty
International,
more
than
60
%
of

the
 worldwide
population
live
in
countries
where
death
penalty
is
used.

 
 Capital
punishment,
or
the
death
penalty,
is
the
killing
of
a
person
by
 judicial
process
as
a
punishment
for
an
offense.
Crimes
that
can
result
in
a
 death
penalty
are
known
as
capital
crimes
or
capital
offences.
In
order
to
 know
students’opinion,
a
debate
was
organized
in
a
management
school,
 the
IGR.
 Their
arguments
are
numerous

Produce
justice
:
From
the
point
of
view
of
the
 family’s
victim(s),
death
penalty
is
the
best
way
to
 produce
justice.
In
fact,
they
think
people
who
kill
 an
innocent,
deserve
to
be,
also
killed.

 Dissuasion
:
Furthermore,
capital
punishment
 allows
to
dissuade
other
people
to
commit
crime.
 Cost
:
From
an
economic
view,
an
execution
is
 cheaper
than
a
detention
for
life
and
in
the
regions
 where
the
surpopulation
of
prisons
became
a
 problem,
the
death
penalty
is
also
a
mean
to
 release
prison
space.
 Second
offense
:
It’s
frequent
that
the
criminals,

 released
from
prison
commit
new
crimes.
Thanks
 to
this
penalty,
this
probability
is
eliminated.
 Nevertheless,
There
are
a
number
of
 incontrovertible
arguments
against
the
death
 penalty.
 
 The
law
mistakes
:
The
most
important
one
is
the
 virtual
certainty
that
genuinely
innocent
people
 will
be
executed
and
that
there
is
no
possible
way
 of
compensating
them
for
this
miscarriage
of
 justice.
 Human
rights
:
Death
penalty
is
against
the
human
 rights.
