Le diagnostic stratégique : une démarche de construction de sens

Le diagnostic y est présenté comme un concept ambivalent orienté vers la construction d’une représentation par et au sein d’une organisation. Cette démarche permet de considérer le diagnostic tour à tour comme ancré dans la construction d’identité, comme un processus de reconstru ction rétrospective, comme un processus d’enactment, possédant une dimen-sion sociale et organisationnelle, un processus « en cours », sélectif et utilisant le référentiel du plausible plutôt que celui de l’exactitude. Abstract : This article relates to the manner of posing a strategic diagnosis in a situation of uncertainty as a step of construction of direction much more than like a simple method of observation of reality and deduction of the most projecting features. The diagnosis is presented there like an ambivalent concept directed t o wards the construction of a representation by and within an organization. The step of construct-ion of direction makes it possible to regard the diagnosis in turn as anchored in the construction of identity, like a process of retrospective rebuilding, a process of enactment, having a social and organisational dimension, a proc e s s «in progress », selective and using the reference frame of plausible rather than that of exactitude.
