We obviously didn’t immediately come up with a subject for there is a range of things we could do. We came up with a few such as Coco Chanel , Law and order , ect.
We wanted to do a something original and unique that hasn’t been taken as much as the other subjects over the past years. We then came up with IKEA, something complex however at the same time interesting, it especially interests me for I was born in Stockholm, Sweden and have lived there for over two years. We then wanted to include ‘ourselves’ in this project, and this is why we linked the ‘y-generation’ to IKEA. This will require a tremendous amount of work however if we are both interested and motivated, we can definitely do it. 2) The steps towards the formulation of the problematic/question
At first, our question was: IKEA: a myth or reality, is the Swedish group still a economic model for future generations?
However then, we thought that the term ‘future generation’ wasn’t clear enough; we thought that people wouldn’t understand that we were referring to the ‘y-generation’. So we then decided to change it to IKEA: ‘Y-GENERATION’ 3) The steps towards document and internet research
Internet was our ultimate source. Books and other sources have been informative and useful as well. The interview that allowed us to interview a 30 year old working at IKEA also gave us even more general understanding of the subject ; ‘Is IKEA an future model for the ‘y-generation and their expectations of working in the future. 4) Team work organization
Constance isn’t any random person, she is also one of my good friends therefore we work well together. We get along, and we have a great sense of communication. 5) Difficulties
The hardest part was the typing of the document. It has to be at least thirty pages long which seemed like an eternity for me. We also had a hard time finding IKEA’s economic statistics on internet therefore we
