Here I’m going to present advantages and disadvantages of teacher-centred system of education and express my opinion. I shall start with positives things what this system presents for students and teacher, follow with negatives things what this system presents for them and conclude with my position.
First I present you advantages. For teacher: he doesn’t need to answer at questions, so he is not interrupting in his lesson. For students, the lesson it’s more cleared, more structured. Like teacher doesn’t answer at question, the student doesn’t ask question, and he doesn’t need to think, to analyze his lesson.
But teacher-centred system of education, behaves disadvantages, for students, it’s must probably that he doesn’t understand lesson, also he will go by heart and he doesn’t recall important notions. Students cannot ask questions, however questions are essential to understand. For the teacher, there are disadvantages too. First he pasts his time at repeated the same lesson, he is like a robot; it’s not interesting for his. And reasoning on notions are not developed, the sharing of opinions served to continue reasoning and in teacher-centred system of education, this phenomena doesn’t exist. The teacher is limited by his mind, his reasoning, his thinks…
In my opinion teacher-centred system of education, presents more disadvantages, never the less I think that students listen more the lesson if the teacher is not interrupted all the time by students that ask foolish and useless questions. Often the answer is in the lesson or the teacher went answer five minutes before. Also this system is a good alternative at chatter in class; it’s adapted for children and teenagers but for adults at the university students-centred system of education is must be appropriated. 284
