De l’articulation entre phonétique et didactique de l’oral

Résumé : Cet article porte l’espoir de parvenir à modifier l’image sociale que l’on se fait de la phonétique et de transformer sa ‘technicité’ en un moyen didactique au service de l’enseignement/apprentissage de l’oral en langue étrangère. De plus, aborder l’oral par son origine sonore, verbale, a permis de faire valoir le vocal et le gestuel comme compléments nécessaires pour mieux comprendre ce qui se passe au niveau cognitif chez les interactants. Un intonème montant ou descendant peut faire dévier un sens comme un geste de la main ou de la tête peut faire varier le cours de la communication. De ce fait, la didactique réhabilitera le rôle que jouent effectivement le verbal, le vocal et le gestuel dans le processus d’émission, de réception et de production de l’oral. Abstract: This article carries the hope of managing to change the social picture we have of phonetics and to transform its technical nature into a didactic means in the service of the teaching/learning of the spoken in foreign language. Besides, to approach the spoken to its sound origin, verbal, allowed valuing the vocal and the gesture aspect as necessary supplementary benefits to understand better what takes place at cognitive level to speakers. A going up or downwards “intonème” can make divert a sense as a gesture of the hand or the head can make vary the train of the communication. Because of this didactics will rehabilitate the role which really the verbal, the vocal and the gestural aspect play in the process of emission, reception and production of the spoken.
